Mujjo makes one of the best iPhone 11 leather wallet cases [Review]

Everyone should use a iPhone case, and everyone needs to carry a wallet. Consider combining those two necessities into the Mujjo Leather Wallet Case. This has been updated for the new iPhone 11 series, and it’s just as beautifully slim-but-practical as its predecessors.

Mujjo Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 11 review

The word “slim” should be included in the name of this case. It fits the iPhone 11 like a glove, and adds hardly any bulk. It’s a featherweight 1.2 ounces (34 g).

I tested the 6.1-inch iPhone 11 version, but there are also ones for the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro and the 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro Max.

My sample unit is Alpine Green, but Mujju also offers this wallet case in Black, Tan and Monaco Blue.

It’s made with full-grain vegetable tanned leather. The quality of the workmanship is excellent. The wallet pocket is stitched on perfectly. Even the iPhone 11’s buttons are covered in leather while remaining completely usable.

The emphasis here isn’t really on drop protection, but the case wraps around the sides, back and corners of the handset. My iPhone XS Max was in last year’s version of the Mujjo Leather Wallet Case when I dropped it onto asphalt — right on the corner of the screen. My heart skipped a beat, but while the leather took some damage, the iPhone inside was completely unscathed.

Plus, a lip around the display helps protect it from touching the surface its lying on.

The interior of the Leather Wallet Case is Japanese microfiber to cushion the iPhone 11, and prevent the case from ever scratching the handset.

A pocket sewn to the back of this case offers room for two cards and perhaps a $20 or $50 bill. You can put in another one because leather stretches, but remember that once stretched it won‘t shrink back later. So if you carry around 3 cards for a couple weeks and then try to go back to just a drivers license and a credit card, you’ll find they fit very loosely in the pocket.

The Mujjo Leather Wallet Case is slim, sleek and beautiful. It’s leather exterior gives it a luxurious look and feel.

The wallet pocket is great… but only if you habitually carry just a couple of cards. Or consider using it just when you’re out for a night of fun — it can save you from needing to carry more.
