After being disappointed with the comfort and quality of a previous leather watch band from an "artisan" website, I happened upon Monowear's Contemporary Leather Apple Watch Cuff based on a glowing review by Cult of Mac's Killian Bell, who described it as "crazy comfortable". You're always a little skeptical when reviewers are gushing over promotional items featured for sale on the site of record, but in this case, Bell definitely wasn't wrong; this band wraps right around your wrist and gives you an immediate feel of fit, finish and elegance. The design is wonderful — at the same time both modern, yet classic. It is slightly wider than the average watch band, yet not so wide as to draw too much attention. Indeed, you could wear this band equally well to a rave or a luxe diner and look out of place at neither. My first thought upon opening it was, "Wow, this reminds me of my grandfather's watch band!" It's always a great sign when a piece of very modern hardware reminds you distinctly of something solid from the past. Not least of all, the black and stainless version compliment the Titanium Apple Watch Edition perfectly, as if they were made for each other, all at a very reasonable price. Couldn't be happier with my choice.
