Meridio Stingray Leather Apple Watch Band in Maldives

The Stingray Leather Band in Maldives is part of Meridio's Galuchat Collection, and is one of the most precious leathers on the market. Galuchat is a technique for making the skin of the ray bright and colorful, and was developed by J.C. Galuchat, an 18th-century craftsman at the court of Versailles. This luxurious and highly-resistant material is expertly hand-crafted to give this band a brilliantly shiny, pearly effect.

Italy is among the ‘big-four’ fashion capitals of the world: Paris, Milan, London and New York. Italian leather, however, is in a class by itself. Distinguished by its selection of high-quality hides and a centuries-old leather-making tradition, Italian leather can cost upwards of six times that of a lesser leather.

Florence is particularly famous for its leather and happens to be the capital of Tuscany where Meridio — makers of luxurious accessories for the Apple Watch — is located. Meridio’s small assemblage of artisans hand-makes its bands in an ancient tannery there. The company prides itself on combining the practicality and innovation of the Apple Watch with the inherent quality of Italian leather manufacturing.

Available in 38 mm and 42 Apple Watch sizes with a choice of six adapter colors.

Each of Meridio's straps is produced in compliance with international laws regarding animal protection and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
